Product Owner

Operations & Development is looking for a Product Owner in the Merchant Solutions unit.

 

Merchant Solutions provide digital solutions to automate and improve the product offering for small and medium sized merchants in Iceland and the UK.

Among the solutions are Valitor's automated boarding solution (ABS) and the merchant back office application (Saga).

 

Key responsibilities:

  • You will develop and adapt the product vision and roadmap for Saga and align it with the company's product strategy
  • You will plan the product backlog, features and releases for Saga and prioritize based on business value
  • You will be member and product leader of a distributed agile software development team with members in Iceland and Serbia
  • You will collaborate with users, project managers and business stakeholders, report progress and communicate changes

Qualifications:

  • University-level education relevant for the position
  • Experience working with or on an Agile software development team
  • Fluency in Icelandic and English
  • Positive toward new challenges
  • Communication and presentation skills
  • Leadership qualities - relational and collaboration skills
  • Preferably with working background in banking/fintech/payments and/or product management
